National –
The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) general meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha, has decided to maintain the current lockdown measures and the night-time curfew in the dark-red 29 provinces until the end of September.
CCSA spokesperson Taweesilp Visanuyothin also revealed at the press conference this afternoon, September 10th, that the existing Covid-19 measures being implemented nationwide will be extended for another two weeks until September 30th.
This means that the public living in the dark-red provinces were urged not to leave home unnecessarily between 9:00 PM. and 4:00 AM. Businesses, restaurants, and other activities that were previously allowed to open earlier this month can continue to operate, although venues previously ordered closed must stay so like entertainment businesses. Drinking and selling alcohol in restaurants is still prohibited.
Public and private companies in the areas are strongly advised to abide by work-from-home measures at least until the end of September, according to the spokesman.
Additionally, the CCSA also approved the vaccination of two Pfizer’s Covid-19 doses on children between the age of 12 to 17 years old nationwide. This includes students who are studying at the secondary level 1-6 or vocational certificate or equivalent, divided into 2 phases: the first phase for students in secondary 4-6 and students in vocational certificate; the second phase for remaining classes.
The allocation will be conducted at public and private schools, Border Patrol Police Schools, seminaries, military schools, and other educational institutions that have students over 12 years old.
The CCSA also explained regarding the vaccine certificate for Thais and foreigners that they can apply for a certificate for international travels at the International Communicable Disease Control Port at Suvannabhumi International Airport (via pre-booking appointment at porthealth_bkk@ddc.mail.go.th), travel clinics at Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute (02-590-3430), and Urban Institute for Disease and Prevention and Control (02-521-0943 to 5)
