Phuket man escapes injuries after his sedan plunges into lagoon, claims his religious amulet saved him

Phuket –

A sedan driver who has escaped from injuries after he plunged his sedan into a lagoon believes he has been helped by his special religious amulet.

The Phuket City Police was notified of the accident at 1:50 P.M. yesterday (October 3rd) at a lagoon near an international school in Koh Kaew, Mueang Phuket.

Rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the sedan was half into the water. It took more than half an hour to pull the sedan up from the lagoon. The vehicle had suffered heavy damage as seen from the photo below.

The driver, Mr. Tanaphoom Hukaew, 23, who was completely uninjured, told the TPN reporters, “I was heading to my friend’s house. While I was driving I felt the front wheels begin to shake under me. I could not control the sedan before plunging into the lagoon, the brakes and wheels did not function properly.”

“I tried to open the car door but I could not. I managed to lower the driver’s side window and swam out of the vehicle that had been quickly filling with water.” Tanaphoom stated to TPN media.

“I believe that I have been protected from any injury by my religious amulet, which has brought me luck on numerous occasions,” Tanaphoom concluded.

Do you believe the amulet was responsible for saving the life of Tanaphoom and sparing him from any injuries? Tell us in the comments below.
