Bangkok –

A crowd of pro-democracy activists and the press has started to gather at the Government Complex in Bangkok ahead of its ruling against three prominent protest leaders, scheduled at 3:00 PM. today, November 10th.

Three pro-democracy activists, namely Arnon Nampa, Panupong “Mike” Jadnok, and Panusaya “Rung” Sithijirawattanakul, were accused of attempting to overthrow the “democratic regime with the monarch as the head of state”, violating Section 49, during their speech given at the anti-government protest on August 10th, 2020.

According to the treason complaint filed by Nattaporn Toprayoon, the speeches contain profane, distorted, and severely insulting content against the monarchy and the royal family, which sparked concerns among the public whether the speech givers are attempting to provoke the act of overthrowing the democratic regime with the monarch as the head of state.

Police officials are seen deployed at the area where pro-democracy groups, including the United Front of Thammasat and Demonstration (UFTD) and Thalufah, will be gathering for the official court ruling this afternoon.

As of last night, the Constitution Court was declared as a security zone under the watchful eyes of securities and police officials. Only related officials and agencies were allowed and could only access the area.

As of 2:31 PM., “Rung” Panusaya has reportedly entered the Constitution Court for the hearing. However, she reportedly walked out of court during the reading of the ruling as a protest against the judge allegedly not allowing both sides to argue their point of view. More shortly.
