RECAP: Thailand reports 2,766 daily Covid-19 infections with 30 additional deaths

Thailand-

Thailand reported 2,646 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 57 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 63 imported cases, marking a total of 2,766 daily infections, with 30 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 2,178,575 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April in Thailand.

Additionally, 2,121,331 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 3,805 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year.

Among 2,646 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 451, Chonburi with 192, Nakhon Si Thammarat with 182, Samut Prakan with 116, and Songkhla with 73.

The fatalities were 16 men and 14 women ( All Thais) with an average age between 35 to 97.

Five of them reportedly had chronic health problems. Twenty-four of them were aged more than 60. One of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.

Thailand has a total of 102,172,113 vaccines given, 89,378 with first jabs, 214,868-second doses, and 258,008 third doses given yesterday.
