Thailand reports 16,330 daily Covid-19 infections with 25 additional deaths

Thailand reported 16,049 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 131 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 150 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 25 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 354,010 cases of Covid-19 with 714 total deaths since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 268,046 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 9,205 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Among 16,049 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 3,233, Samut Prakan with 949, Nonthaburi with 841, Chonburi with 813, and Phuket with 478.

The fatalities were 13 men and 12 women (All Thais) with an average age between10 to 100. 100 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Five of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Twenty of them were aged more than 60.

Thailand has a total of 119,463,313 vaccines given, with 71,211 first jabs, 72,778-second doses, and 307,677 third doses given yesterday.
