Bangkok –

A family member of deceased actress Nida “DTangmo(Watermelon)” Patcharaveerapong suspected foul play during her trip on a speedboat on the Chao Praya River on Thursday night that resulted in the death of the Thai actress.

The mother of the actress, Panida Sirayutthayothin, said to local media that she found many suspicious things regarding the death of her daughter during an official search and police investigation in the past two days.

The 37-year-old actress’s body was discovered in the Chao Phraya near the Pibulsongkram pier in Nonthaburi province around 1:10 PM. yesterday, about a kilometer away from where she reportedly fell from the speedboat on Thursday.

However, the mother said that a group of her daughter’s friends may not want to have the accident revealed to the media or the police officers as none of Dtangmo’s friends or manager had contacted and reported to her (Panida) about the incident, not even until the body was found.

Panida stated: “Why didn’t the manager tell me that Dtangmo fell into the water? Even now that they found her body, the manager still didn’t contact me and did not want to reveal that my child had died, express their condolences, or speak with me about the situation.”

The mother also stated that the event on the speedboat was also suspicious as her daughter appeared to have fully dressed up as if it was a party rather than wearing casual clothes for an ordinary meet-up for dinner.

Additionally, the public also questioned the actress’ photo posts on Instagram that appeared to be gradually deleted after she was pronounced dead and her body was found yesterday. They believed that someone might have access to her account or her phone to do so.

As of today, Nonthaburi police chief Paisal Wongwatcharamongkol said that Nonthaburi police issued an arrest warrant against speedboat owner Phaiboon “Robert” Trikanjananun who was charged for negligence and an act causing another person’s death, as well as using unlicensed boats or using boats without permission. The boat driver was also charged for driving/using unlicensed boats or using boats without permission.

The authorities also promised to proceed with an honest, transparent, open, and justified investigation to answer every public question and suspicions found in the case.
