Thailand reports 25,804 daily Covid-19 infections with 87 additional deaths

Thailand reported 25,720 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 58 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 26 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 87 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 1,105,538 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 898,798 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 18,801 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Among 25,720 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 3,335, Nakhon Si Thammarat with 1,629, Chonburi with 1,420, Samut Prakan with 928, and Samut Sakorn with 867.

The fatalities were 48 men and 39 women ( 83 Thais, 1 Swedish, 2 Burmese, and 1 unidentified nationality). 68 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly. 24 of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. 59 of them was aged more than 60.

Thailand has a total of 127,068,984 vaccines given, with 114,591 first jabs, 27,394 -second doses, and 127,187 third doses given yesterday.
