Thailand reports 26,234  daily Covid-19 infections with 67 additional deaths

Thailand reported 26,123 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 75 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 36 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 67 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 1,279,829 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 1,059,790 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 20,013 people were released yesterday. Among 26,123 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 3,128, Nakhon Si Thammarat with 1,356, Chonburi with 1,305, Samut Prakan 875 and Samut Sakorn with 759.

The fatalities were 31 men and 36 women ( 65 Thais, 2 Myanmar). 99 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Sixteen of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. Fifty of them were aged more than 60.

Thailand has a total of 128,399,428 vaccines given, 94,484 with first jabs, 29,324-second doses, and 174,067 third doses given yesterday.
