Thailand reports 20,052 daily Covid-19 infections with 129 additional deaths

Thailand reported 19,972 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 32 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 48 imported cases, marking a total of daily infections, with 129 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 1,924,655 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 1,763,605 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 22,361 people were released yesterday. Among 19,972 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in ฺBangkok with 3,355, Khon Kaen with 1,015, Samut Prakan with 717, Chonburi with 699, and Nonthaburi with 689.

The fatalities were 70 men and 59 women ( 127 Thais, 2 Myanmar). 86 percent of them had prior health issues or were elderly.

Sixteen of them reportedly had previous chronic health problems. One hundred and one of them were aged more than 60.
Thailand has a total of 132,279,710 vaccines given, with 32,711 first jabs, 66,777 -second doses, and 81,697 third doses given yesterday.
