Thailand wins in World Taekwondo Grand Prix 2022 in Manchester


Thailand –

A Thai female taekwondo expert won in the World Taekwondo Grand Prix 2022 in Manchester, England.

Anucha Burapachaisri, a Thai Government Spokesperson stated, Panipak ‘Tennis’ Wongpattanakit won in the 49 kilograms category on Friday night (October 21st). She beat her opponent from Turkey 2:0.”

“The Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha congratulates Ms. Panipak for her success as she has been practicing very hard and has done her best. She has provided happiness and smiling for Thai people who have supported her.”

Tennis famously won the gold medal for Thailand in the recent Olympics in 2021, uniting the country during wide spanning COVID-19 restrictions. You can read more about that below. This was also Thailand’s only gold medal in the recent Olympics.

Her coach, Coach Choi, pictured above with Tennis, or Young Seok Choi, recently renounced his Korean citizenship and was officially granted Thai citizenship for his actions in Tennis’s training and bringing what Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha called great pride and success to Thailand.
