Now for the update:
Yesterday (November 5th) the Kathu District Chief Siwat Rawangkun inspected road work at the area on the landslide damaged Patong hill.
Mr. Siwat told the Phuket Express, “Soil from the landslide area is being removed while new rocks and soil are being put and pressed at the area to increase more strength. If there is no more rain to obstruct the road works, the work is expected to be completed on schedule.”
If the schedule holds, this would be roughly just before Christmas and the busiest time of the year for Patong and Phuket.
