Nine people arrested with 2,200,000 methamphetamine pills and 40,000 Erimin 5 pills in Lopburi

Nine suspects were arrested in three vehicles while they were transferring 2,200,000 methamphetamine pills and 40,000 pills of Erimin 5 in Lopburi.

Police from the Narcotics Suppression Bureau arrested nine suspects who are Mr.Napat Khunhom, 22, Mr. Watchara Onyem, 25, Mr. Woramet Saywakawong, 23, Poopakeak Dechawong, 30, Mr.Kittisak Samwak, 20, Ms. Kornwipa Traisu, 20, Mr. Chockjaroen Kratnarong, 27, Mr. Tatpong Guwasarn, 22 and Mr. Tanaphon Uthaipoj, 27.

They were arrested on the Saraburi – Lomsak Road in Pattana Nikhom district in Lopburi. Seized from them were 2,200,000 methamphetamine pills and 40,000 pills of Erimin 5.

Major General Sarayut Sanguanpokai told TPN media that the arrest came after police tracked down the suspects and from a tip-off that a substantial amount of drugs were being transferred from a neighbor country via Northeastern parts of Thailand to a destination in the central part of Thailand.

All nine suspects are facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 and 2 drugs with intent to sell.
