90 Illegal Taxi Drivers in Phuket Fined in Four Months

Phuket –

In total 90 illegal taxi drivers in Phuket were fined in the past three months and 33 of them have had their driving licenses suspended for 90 days.

The Phuket Land Transport Officer (PLTO) Chief Mr. Atcha Buacha told The Phuket Express, “We have continued to crack down on illegal taxis (Black Plates) especially at Phuket International Airport, piers, and tourism places.”

“Since September last year in total 90 illegal taxi drivers were fined 2,000 baht. Thirty-three of them had their driving licenses suspended for 90 days. If anyone notices illegal taxi drivers, please call 1584 to inform us,Mr. Atcha added.
