Body of Foreigner Found Floating Near Tao Island in Koh Phangan, Possibly Missing German Man

Tao Island in Surat Thani –

A body of a foreigner was found floating in the sea near the Tao Island (Turtle Island), northwest of Phangan Island.

The Thai Marine Enforcement Command Center (Thai – MECC) reported this afternoon (February 6th) that they were notified of the body from a local fisherman on Tao Island.

It is believed that the body might be Mr. Florian Storz, 35, a missing German national, as he and the body has a turtle tattoo on their back.

However the body was taken back to a hospital for final identification.
