Consul of France in Thailand Visits Phuket Vice Governor to Discuss Recent Problems with some French Tourists

The Consul of France in Thailand and the Consul of France in Phuket visited Phuket Vice Governor to discuss recent problems with French tourists in Phuket.

On Thursday (March 9th) the Phuket Vice Governor Mr. Arnuparb Rodkwuan Yodrabam welcomed Mr. Christophe Hemmings, the Consul of France in Thailand and Mr. Alain Faudot, the Consul of France in Phuket.

The Consul of France in Thailand Mr. Hemmings said at the meeting, “If any French national in Phuket does not follow rules and laws, please take serious legal action over them. Also please consider on rules or laws to deport problematic tourists for a long-term period of time. We have supported serious legal actions for anyone who is not following rules and laws especially for traffic. Thank you to Phuket officials for taking good care of French people in Phuket and to the vast majority of French tourists who follow the rules and laws of Thailand.”

Vice Governor Arnuparb added, “We are glad in welcoming every national tourist equally. We are also trying to prevent any problems or loss for tourists. Thank you to the French consul that understands we are doing our best job to keep everyone safe. Phuket is a famous place for French tourists. We are being a good host to take care of them too.”
