Russian Man Jumps to His Death From Phuket Parking Garage

Phuket –

A Russian language teacher jumped to his death from a parking building at a department store in Phuket.

The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express they were notified of the incident at 8:20 A.M. on Thursday (April 27th) at a parking building in a department store.

Police, emergency responders and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the body of a 32-year-old Russian national lying on the ground (The Phuket Express is withholding his name pending embassy and family notification). No sign of a struggle was found on his body.

Police checked CCTV footage at the building and informed the media that the Russian national was walking on the 5th floor of the parking building alone before suddenly jumping down to the ground.

A security guard nearby found the unconscious man before calling emergency responders. However, the Russian man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express that at the time of the incident the department store had not yet opened for the day. The Russian man was a language teacher locally in Phuket and there was no sign of a note or explanation for the actions taken by the man.
