Phuket –
In total, 35 people have been injured which included Russians, Ukrainian, Kazakhstani, Hong Kong nationals, Chinese, and Thais after a tour boat crashed into a pillar in Chalong, Phuket.
Only two people on the boat were not injured.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Wednesday (May 17th) near Chalong Pier with many injuries. More than a dozen ambulances from the nearby area arrived at the Chalong Pier.
Now for our update:
The Phuket Marine Office Chief Mr. Chayapong Pranit told the Phuket Express that the tour boat was travelling back to the Chalong Pier from Phi Phi Island. The boat was near Nan Island when the collision happened, which is only 500 meters from their destination at Chalong Pier.
There were in total 37 people on the boat which were 21 Russians, 1 Ukrainian, 9 Kazakhstani, 1 Hong Kong, 1 Chinese, and four Thais.
The Narenthorn Andaman Emergency Centers latest report stated that in total 35 people have been injured from the boat accident. Two people were not injured who are a Kazakhstani national and a Thai.
Of those 35 people injured, 6 people had sustained serious injuries ( 4 Russians and 2 Thais), 16 people had medium injuries, and 13 people had minor injuries.
The Phuket Public Relations Office confirmed that there is no one missing from the incident.
The incident remains under investigation and we will have further coverage as information is released.
