Phuket –

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana presided over the opening ceremony at the Court of Appeal Region 8 and the new Phuket Provincial Hall on Tha Kraeng Road in Talad Nuea, Phuket Town.

On Sunday (June 11th) thousands of people waited to honor their King and Queen along the route starting from Phuket International Airport. Joining in the opening ceremony were top Phuket officials led by the Phuket Governor Naroong Woonciew.

The ceremony started at 6:35 P.M. where the King and the Queen laid the foundation stone and planted ‘Padauk’ trees.

The King and the Queen were greeting and waving hands along the route in the royal car which was driving slowly to allow people to pay respect. Their majesties returned to Phuket International Airport after the ceremony.
