Phuket International Airport Holds Full Scale Emergency Drill

Phuket –

The Phuket Airport held a Full-Scale Emergency Exercise: PEMEX 2023.

Phuket International Airport held the full emergency plan called Full-Scale Exercise: PEMEX 2023 on Friday (June 24th). The drill was officially launched by the Phuket Vice Governor Arnuparp Rodkhwan Yodrabam. The exercise was on the second floor of the Domestic Terminal.

The exercise included rescuing survivors, active shooter training, sabotage, arson, hostage, and public mass shooting security training scenarios.

The Phuket International Airport asked for cooperation from the public inside the terminal NOT to take any photos or record videos of the drill due to the public outside possibly having a misunderstanding that the exercise was only training and not a real incident.

The individuals seen in these photos are all actors and emergency personnel along with police, fire departments, and airport staff.
