First our previous story:

Chonburi police have warned women in the province of a loose serial rapist who reportedly raped and robbed multiple victims using a dating application.

Now for our update:

The arrest came after an incident in which the suspect, Mr. Wattana Srikhaney or Tum Chonburi (alias), allegedly raped a woman in Chonburi’s Ko Chan district on May 14th.

Wattana of Thai nationality is accused of multiple raping incidents in the province. According to reports, he approached the victims by posing as a nice person on a dating application called Omi.

He then lured the women into meeting him in person and consequently took them to a secluded location before committing the crimes.

Wattana also robbed some of the women of their belongings such as smart phones, cash, or bags. One victim was reportedly abandoned naked at the edge of a rice field by Wattana. Police are pursuing legal action against him for raping and over seven other illegal incidents.
