Search Continues for Missing Foreign Tourist in Phuket

Phuket –

A Kazakhstani teenager has been reported missing after he went swimming in the sea at Thalang.

The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express on Friday (Sept 1st) that at 7:30 P.M. on Friday (Sept 1st) they were notified that a Kazakhstani teenager was missing after going swimming at Nai Yang Beach in the Sa Koo sub-district.

A search was launched at 8:30 P.M.. However, the search was paused due to heavy rain and strong wind and waves. The Phuket Tourist Police said anyone who sees the man in the above photo please call the Tourist Police hotline at 1155.

The Phuket Tourist Assistance Center on Saturday (Sept 2nd) has identified the Kazakhstani teenager as Mr. Dmitriy Rochsha, 17. Anyone who sees the man please call the Sakoo Police 076-328-121. The search has continued on both land and marine but has so far not brought any results.
