Prime Suspect Arrested in Pattaya is Linked to Happy Water Party in Uttaradit, say Police

National – Banglamung and Chonburi police officers captured an important suspect linked to a “Happy Water” birthday party at a local influential figures home in Uttaradit Province.

On September 22nd, 2023, Pol. Col. Navin Sinthurat, superintendent of Banglamung Police Station, received a report on the hideout of a wanted suspect for narcotics use. The police squad was immediately dispatched to the location. Upon further investigation a suspect identified by police only as Mr. Kritsada, or his nickname Tom, 34-years-old, from Uttaradit Province, was found residing in a rental apartment on Pattaya Third Road.

The suspect, Tom, was facing the following charges according to Pol. Col Navin: Distribution of narcotic drugs as a class 1 offense and mutual agreement between two or more individuals to commit a serious criminal offense related to illicit drugs. Tom claimed that he was told by another person to deliver a package without knowing of the illicit substances contained inside.

Back on August 21st, 2023, an operation was launched to restrain en masse a group of 38 individuals at the birthday party of the son of a Tambon chief in Uttaradit Province. Happy water, an illicit substance, and an illegal weapon were found as evidence. From the investigation, the officers found out that Tom delivered a narcotic substance to the party.

For further investigation, the officers would work proactively to arrest other individuals and suspects for their alleged crimes.
