Foreign Tourist Numbers Surge in Thailand, Boosting Economy and Confidence

On September 30th, 2023, Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Deputy leader of the United Thai Nation Party, stated that the number of foreign tourists visiting Thailand from January 1st to September 24th, 2023 was significant.

According to a visa exemption program for China and Kazakhstan on September 25th, 2023, there was positive feedback. Mr. Thanakorn also said that the number of foreign tourists interested in traveling to Thailand was increasing, especially, in Malaysia, China, South Korea, India, and Russia. With great continuous support from the previous government and the current government, it enhanced the tourism image in Thailand immensely.

Nonetheless, Mr. Thanakorn emphasized building security and trust from tourists by traveling safely and leaving with a good impression. Furthermore, it was encouraged that Thai people should travel domestically to keep finances flowing within the country.
