Many foreign and Thai tourists are visiting Maya Bay in Krabi after it was recently reopened.

Now for the update:
The head of the Hat Noppharat Thara Mu-Ko Phi Phi National Park, Mrs. Ratchanok Paenoi, told the Phuket Express that many foreign and Thai tourists are visiting Maya Bay. However, the national park has limited the number of visitors permitted to 375 per one hour round trip. After one hour, the 375 visitors have to leave the bay to let other groups visit. Visitors are allowed until 4:00 P.M. daily.
Swimming is NOT allowed at Maya Beach but snorkeling and diving are allowed in deeper water. The National Park staff are patrolling around the bay for safety reasons. Visitors and tour boat operators are being warned to strictly follow the rules.
The President of the Krabi Hotels Association, Ms. Wichupam Pukaoluan Srisanya, told the Phuket Express that they believe that at least an amount of 80 percent higher of tourists are coming to Krabi in this high season when compared to during the Covid -19 outbreak. Many rooms in hotels are booked. In addition, more direct flights from Dubai are arriving this month.
