Bangkok —

Two decomposed bodies of a man and a woman were found in a shipping container in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang Industrial Estate on Monday morning, October 2nd.

A rescue team from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation was alerted to the horrifying discovery today at 5 AM and rushed to the scene at the ICD warehouse area in the Lat Krabang Industrial Estate in the capital’s Lat Krabang district.

Two bodies, which were in a state of decomposition, were found inside a shipping container. The vessel was reported to have been shipped from the Philippines, departing on September 24th, 2023, and arriving at Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand, on September 28th, 2023.

The corpses belonged to a man and a woman, both of whom could not be identified. They were found lying near the door of the empty container, without identification documents. Based on the condition of the bodies, it is likely that they had been passed away for more than a week, according to a forensic team.

The bodies were sent to the Bangkok Police Hospital to undergo a post-mortem examination. Police are attempting to contact the owner of the vessel as of press time and a full investigation will take place.
