Young Man Arrested With Over 61,000 Methamphetamine Pills in Bangkok

Bangkok—

At 8:00 AM, on October 18th, 2023, Bang Chan police officers captured an alleged suspect possessing methamphetamine with a total of 61,000 pills at a rental room in Saphan Sung, Bangkok. The alleged suspect was publicly identified as Mr. Phitsanu Pongsri, 25-years-old.

During the investigation, police sources reported that Phitsanu was selling illicit drugs to teenagers and drug addicts in Saphan Sung. The investigative team went to the scene and found Phitsanu in front of his room acting suspiciously. After an interrogation, Phitsanu reportedly confessed that he had stashed 61,000 pills of amphetamine inside his room.

Phitsanu allegedly stated that on October 10th, 2023, Mr. Phongnukorn Poolsawat, 31-years-old, contacted him on social media asking him to collect the illicit substance as a package to his room.

However, Phitsanu also allegedly said Phongnukorn would then give him 7,000 baht in return for keeping the package and Phongnukorn would collect it back after a few days and distribute it to locals later on.
The police officers issued an arrest warrant on Phongnukorn and escorted Phitsanu to inquiry officers for further legal proceedings.
