Road Rage Incident Leads to Arrest in Samut Sakhon

Samut Sakhon—

On October 23rd, 2023, the Thai highway police and the Bang Torad police officers captured an alleged suspect who was publicly identified only as Mr. Panrit, 33-years-old, with a firearm 9 mm, on Rama II road, Mueang Samut Sakhon.

An unidentified truck driver reportedly stated to the police officers that Panrit threatened him with a firearm after being cut off on a lane on Rama II road. The truck driver then parked on a sideroad and called police officers for help.

The highway police officers later intercepted Panrit and searched his vehicle and found the firearm. Panrit was facing a charge of Carrying a Firearm in a Public Place Without Authorization.

During the interrogation, Panrit reportedly confessed his irritation that the truck driver cut off his lane before being escorted to the Bang Torad police station for further legal proceedings.
