Suspect Arrested on Thirteen Year Old Murder Charge in Nong Khai

Nong Khai—

On October 23rd, 2023, the Anti Trafficking In Persons Division (ATPD) team was dispatched to capture an alleged suspect who was publicly identified as Mr. Nai Wongsutho, 71-years-old, at a rental house, in Rattanawapi, Nong Khai.

Nai was facing a charge from 2010 of premeditated homicide according to the arrest warrant from the Nong Bua Lamphu Provincial Court.

In 2010, Nai committed the murder of his unidentified neighbor victim due to what law enforcement says was a repetitive conflict over an estate. On the incident day, Nai reportedly confessed his wrongdoings in that the victim had a heated argument with him while allegedly carrying a firearm. The alleged suspect then tried to persuade the victim to lower his gun before taking a chance to grab the firearm and shoot the victim to death.

The investigative officers publicly revealed that Nai had been fleeing from place to place for over 13 years before the officers pressed an announcement on Nai as a wanted criminal to local authorities in Nong Khai who helped capture the suspect.
Initially, the Suwannakhuha police officers held Nai in custody for further legal proceedings.
