Tragic Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of 14-Year-Old Boy in Manchakhiri, Khon Kaen

At 6:30 PM, on October 31st, 2023, the Manchakhiri police officers received an accident report about a motorcyclist who collided with the rear of a pickup truck on Ban Pa Phu – Na Chan Road, Manchakhiri, Khon Kaen. One casualty was reported.

At the incident scene, a rescue team from Manchakhiri Hospital was dispatched and found a motorcycle that had collided with a pickup truck at the rear. Nearby, an anonymous 14-year-old boy was found dead.

Mr. Pairot, a 46-year-old pickup truck owner, last name withheld, reportedly stated to the police officers that the boy was his nephew who was living close to his house. Pairot was having dinner at a restaurant 200 meters away from the accident scene and heard a reportedly loud racing motorcycle sound between two motorcycles.

Shortly after, Pairot heard the sound of a crash. According to the police report, after having seen his nephew who rode the motorcycle lying on the ground when he rushed to the scene, Pairot then called the police officers.

Initially, the Manchakhiri police officers recorded a daily report as evidence and pledged to further investigate the overall accident and determine the exact cause. They are also searching for a possible second motorcycle rider who may have been racing the victim and fled the scene afterwards to question them.
