Celebrity Spanish Influencer Denies Intentionally Murdering Columbian Man in Surat Thani

A Spanish chef and celebrity influencer has denied some charges and admitted to others after he allegedly dismembered a Columbian surgeon, reportedly his lover, on Pha Ngan Island in August of this year.

Thai police have arrested a Spanish suspect for allegedly murdering and dismembering his Colombian male partner on the southern tourist island of Pha Ngan, Surat Thani.

The forensic team has confirmed that the body parts found at a landfill on Thailand’s southern tourist island of Pha Ngan, Surat Thani, belong to a Colombian man believed to have been murdered by his Spanish lover.

Public prosecutors filed a lawsuit against the defendant Mr. Daniel over intent to murder and moving or destroying bodies or parts of a body to conceal a death. The Koh Samui Provincial Court has postponed the hearing to November 13th of next month.

Now for the update:

On Monday (November 13th) Mr. Daniel Jeronimo Sancho Bronchalo, 29, Spanish national, was taken to the Koh Samui Provincial Court by relevant officers. His father, who is a well-known Spanish actor, Rodolfo Sancho Aguirre, was at the court as well as a lawyer and a Spanish interpreter.

Mr. Daniel asked the court for a new lawyer and has also denied some of the charges levied against him. The court appointment for evidence for the charges will be on November 27th of this month.

It has been reported by other Thai media that Mr. Daniel has admitted the charge of hiding, removing and destroying the corpse, or parts of corpse. However he has denied the intent to murder charge, planning to reportedly claim the incident was an accident and started as self defense.
