Bangkok Police Conduct Searches on Entertainment Venues, Enforce Stricter Regulations

At 8:00 PM, on December 14th, 2023, Pol. Col. Suradet Chatthai, the Superintendent of Taopoon Police Station, and relevant agencies conducted a search operation on entertainment venues at Tao Poon Market, Bang Sue, Bangkok.

Pol. Col. Suradet publicly revealed that the search operation was ordered by the Thai government policy and the Royal Thai Police’s Office. The orders were to strictly prevent and suppress the violations of carrying firearms and selling illicit substances.

Furthermore, Pol. Col. Suradet emphasized that visitors must carry their original ID cards while using entertainment venues. The police officers may ask to verify identification via applications such as Thai ID and DLT QR license.

Every visitor must be searched for illegal firearms and the entertainment service providers are prohibited from selling alcoholic beverages beyond prescribed legal hours and allowing e-cigarettes, remarked Pol. Col. Suradet.

Moreover, minors under 20 years of age cannot enter the establishments under any conditions and the entertainment venues must close at 4:00 AM, concluded Pol. Col. Suradet.
