On December 15th, 2023, the Thai Department of Meteorology forecasted weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
There will be high air pressure or a mass of cool air covering northeast Thailand and the South China Sea. This pattern will lead to fog in upper Thailand in the morning. The northern and northeastern regions will continue to experience cool weather in the morning.
People in upper Thailand are advised to take care of their health due to continuously changing weather conditions and to be cautious while traveling through foggy areas.
As for the northeastern monsoon, it covers the Gulf of Thailand and the southern region, resulting in heavy rain in some areas of the southern lower region. Wind waves in the lower Gulf of Thailand are approximately 2 meters high, while areas with thunderstorms have waves higher than 2 meters.
Air pollution in this period: The lower northern region, central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, shows a moderate accumulation of dust particles/smog due to weak winds prevailing in the area.
