Fourteen foreign tourists and two Thais have been rescued after water leaked into a boat in the Khura Buri district.

The Similan National Park told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were notified from a diving boat near the Bon Island that water had leaked into the boat which they were unable to quickly remove.

Another boat which was nearby helped to transfer 14 foreign tourists and two Thais onto their boat while waiting for help from the national park service.

All of the people involved finally safely arrived at the Thap Lamu Pier in the Thai Mueang district. The boat was safely pulled back to the land.
