Southern Thailand Flood Relief Efforts Intensify

The Army Region 4 has issued instructions for officials to urgently assist flood victims in the South as the situation is returning to normal.

Lt. Gen. SantiSakuntanark, Commanderofthe4thArmy Region, stated that all sectors were prepared and have been providing assistance before, during, and after the flood, which helped in managing the situation.

He acknowledged the extensive damage caused by the floods, including to homes, public properties, and government facilities, which he described as incalculable.

The Commander added that the army has coordinated with various government departments, deploying personnel and equipment to assist citizens promptly during the emergency.

Currently, as the flood situation eases, the army’s focus is on restoration, rehabilitation, and providing relief and compensation to the citizens affected by the floods.

The assistance is being expedited through the collaboration of forces from all sectors, including the military, police, administrative authorities, private sector, and civilians, all moving forward to alleviate the hardships of the affected citizens.

These efforts include helping to clean homes, government buildings, schools, mosques, and roads that have been damaged, with the aim of enabling citizens to overcome this crisis and return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
