A Look at the Top Performing Thai National Parks in 2023

On January 4th, 2024, the Thai Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation publicly revealed statistics on the top 10 Thai national parks with the most revenue and most visited in 2023 from 133 national parks.

The following list was the top 10 Thai national parks with the most revenue from January to December 2023, with a total of 1,651,868,101 baht revenue.

  1. Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, Krabi, had a total income of 377,321,864 baht.
  2. Similan Islands National Park, Phang Nga, had a total income of 175,392,700 baht.
  3. Khao Yai National Park, Nakhon Ratchasima, had a total income of 136,317,392 baht.
  4. Ao Phang Nga National Park, Phang Nga, had a total income of 122,627,830 baht.
  5. Khao Laem Ya-Mu Ko Samet National Park, Rayong, had a total income of 120,015,600 baht.
  6. Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai, had a total income of 111,289,586 baht
  7. Erawan National Park, Kanchanaburi, had a total income of 72,883,038 baht.
  8. Khao Sok National Park, Surat Thani, had a total income of 66,367,591 baht
  9. Tarutao National Park, Satun, had a total income of 31,179,260 baht.
  10. Than Bok Khorani National Park, Krabi, had a total income of 24,157,870 baht.

The following list was the top 10 Thai national parks where tourists visited the most from January to November 2023, with a total of 18,494,085 people.

  1. Khao Yai National Park, Nakhon Ratchasima, had 1,823,413 tourists.
  2. Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, Krabi, had 1,449,246 tourists.
  3. Khao Laem Ya-Mu Ko Samet National Park, Rayong, had 1,145,834 tourists.
  4. Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai, had 926,724 tourists.
  5. Khao Khitchakut National Park, Chanthaburi, had 744,117 tourists.
  6. Erawan National Park, Kanchanaburi, had 526,248 tourists.
  7. Ao Phang Nga National Park, Phang Nga, had 479,284 tourists.
  8. Khlong Lan National Park, Kamphaeng Phet, had 481,518 tourists.
  9. Namtok Phlio National Park, Chanthaburi, had 432,085 tourists.
  10. Chet Sao Noi Waterfall National Park, Saraburi, had 431,401 tourists.
