Thailand has made an impressive showing in the 2024 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards, with five of its cities being recognized in various categories. Bangkok and Phuket have been listed among the Top 25 Destinations worldwide, securing the 15th and 18th spots, respectively.
Pattaya Beach in Chon Buri claimed the 7th position in the Trending Destinations category, recognized for its beautiful beaches along the Gulf of Thailand. In the realm of culinary delights, Phuket and Chiang Mai were ranked 10th and 17th in the Food Destinations category, respectively. This recognition aligns with their prominence in the Michelin Guide Thailand and Phuket’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
The awards also highlighted Khao Lak in Phang-Nga, which ranked 6th in the Honeymoon Destinations category, noted for its secluded beaches and family-friendly activities. Meanwhile, Bangkok achieved the 11th spot in the new Sustainable Destinations category, marking Thailand’s progress towards sustainable tourism.
Regionally, Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai were among the Top 25 Destinations in Asia, ranked 5th, 6th, and 16th respectively.
