Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin extends his heartfelt greetings on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, marking the commencement of 2024 in the Chinese calendar.

He states, “你好 (Nǐ hǎo), I’m Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister of Thailand. I extend my warmest wishes to all Thai-Chinese and Chinese descendants on this significant occasion of the Chinese New Year. 新年快乐, 万事如意 (Xīnnián kuàilè, wànshì rúyì). May this year be one that’s prosperous and abundant, with a continuous flow of wealth, gold, and economic activities between Thailand and China. May trade and investment prosper smoothly, contributing to the mutual benefit of both nations.”

He continues, “To facilitate seamless travel between our countries, we promote a policy of visa-free entry, enhancing the convenience of movement. Thailand warmly welcomes and ensures the safety of our Chinese brothers and sisters. May the enduring friendship between Thailand and China persist, as we are not merely neighbors but true siblings.”
