1. Muang Nakhon Ratchasima police officers received a shooting report in front of Center Point Hotel at Terminal 21 Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima, resulting in one injury.

Many thought it was a similar incident that happened, dated back on February 8th, 2020, as a soldier went on a rampage and mass shot people at Terminal 21 Korat. As a result, there were 30 casualties and 58 injuries.

2. The commander of the Metropolitan Police Division 5, held a press conference regarding the recent conflict between Thai and Filipino transgender people in Soi Sukhumvit 11, Watthana, Bangkok.

The incident had nothing to do with official relations between Thailand and the Philippines and the issues were addressed to the Philippine Ambassador to Thailand for mutual understanding.

3. The Trang City Police apprehended a man identified only as Mr. Straumann, a 60-year-old Swiss national, following an alleged attack on Mrs. Natchanan Khickkham, a 58-year-old Thai woman, at a supermarket in Trang City.

He is being detained at a court and being banned from leaving Thailand.

This incident has shocked Thailand and driven anger.

4. The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) President Thanawat Phonwichai publicly revealed the expected spending amount during the Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024 from April 1st to the 21st, with a total estimated amount of 130 billion baht.

Mr. Sanga Ruangwattanakul, the president of the Khaosan Business Association, publicly revealed preparation for the upcoming World Songkran Festival 2024 on Khaosan Road, Bangkok, from April 13th to the 15th.

5. Thai national media reported after Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra publicly revealed Thaksin Shinawatra’s itinerary from March 14th to 16th to his hometown, Chiang Mai.

This visit to Chiang Mai will be his first time after being a fugitive abroad for 17 years, according to Thai national media.
