At 11:00 AM, on March 19th, 2024, a female Thai-Belgium artist and her lawyer filed a complaint report to the Thai Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) regarding an unidentified suspect obscenely editing her images and videos using AI technology.
The victim, Violette Wautier, a famous 30-year-old Thai-Belguim artist, publicly revealed that previously a suspect edited her face into indecent images and videos, and shared them on online platforms, causing concerns among her fans. Violette asserted that the person in the images and videos was not her.
To protect herself, Violette and her lawyer reported the case to the TCSD to take legal action against the suspect who allegedly edited her face using AI in indecent images and videos.
As a woman, she felt horrible and was concerned that people got the wrong idea. Furthermore, she also wanted to send a message to the suspect and those who shared the images and videos to cease the action as it violated Thai laws.
Those who were the victims like her should step up for themselves, and stand and take legal action against the violators according to the Thai laws, remarked Violette.
Initially, the investigative officers interrogated the victim for consideration along with evidence before coordinating and forwarding the case to a supervisor for further consideration and ordering.
