Thailand Plans International Entertainment Boost with Formula One, Summer Sonic, Tomorrowland, and More

On March 23rd, 2024, Mr. Chai Watcharong, the Thai Government spokesman, publicly revealed ongoing progress on organizing international entertainment in Thailand such as Formula One Group, Formula E, Art Basel, Summer Sonic, and Tomorrowland.

According to the Thai Government spokesman, the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and its business partners aimed to boost festivals in Thailand into a creative ecosystem.

The Thai government deployed the following guidelines:

1.) Auction for event rights and bringing world-class events to Thailand.

2.) Create platforms and business opportunities in related industries under Business Festival terms.

3.) Exchange networks between Thai and international organizers in the Festival Academy aspect.

The Thai Government spokesman further stated world-class music festivals such as Summer Sonic and Tomorrowland reportedly confirmed to hold Summer Sonic Bangkok 2024 from August 24th to 25th at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. The official announcement would be made on March 27th regarding the Summer Sonic Bangkok 2024.

Meanwhile, Tomorrowland would reportedly hold an event in 2026 and possibly continue for 10 consecutive years. Moreover, the Thai government discussed with business partners from international organizers to hold other events in Thailand which was in a positive direction, remarked the Thai Government spokesman.
