Thai Police Raid Illegal Gambling Den in Saraburi, 36 Individuals Arrested

Saraburi—

On March 25th, 2024, the Thai Crime Suppression Division launched a raid operation on a residence in Nong Don, Saraburi, after receiving a local report of illegal gambling activity without permission.

Upon the police inspection, many gamblers had gathered at the residence playing gambling cards. The police surrounded the area to capture 36 individuals and confiscated 30,000 baht in cash.

The police interrogated the suspects and found out that the gambling den had been operating for only two days before being shut down. The suspects reportedly told the police that gambling insiders invited each other to play gambling cards at the residence before being captured unexpectedly.

Initially, the police pressed charges of conspiring to commit illegal gambling without permission against the gamblers before escorting them to the Nong Don police station for further legal processing.
