National—

On April 19th, 2024, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the Chairwoman of the National Committee on Soft Power Development, held the 4th National Soft Power Development Committee Meeting 2024.

The discussion focused on developing the potential of Thai people via the campaign One Family One Soft Power (OFOS) to foster Thai soft power globally. The development of human resources would foster the potential of Thai people from the Creative Skills Development Center at local to national levels, free of charge.

Furthermore, online and onsite platforms would be available for those enthusiastic or skilled individuals to register for their favorite skill developments including cooking, singing, sporting, and many more. It would potentially create highly skilled workers of more than 20 million positions and generate at least 200,000 baht annually.

The National Soft Power Development Committee covered three strategic points from 11 sub-committees including the private sector to develop Thai industries by both designing policies and amending laws.

Moreover, the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA) would be assigned under the Act which was currently open for public opinions. The Act was estimated to be presented to the Government House this June.

“The Thai government’s goal was to foster the OFOS campaign to elevate the quality of Thai people with new opportunities via new skills. It would soon become true for Thai people to have a better life,” remarked Paetongtarn.
