At least seven people were injured after a tour boat collided with a long tail boat at the Pasak River in Ayutthaya yesterday afternoon (October 12).
Put Thai Sawan rescue team reports that they were notified of the accident 2:10 PM near the Preedee Panomyong Bridge in the Mueang Ayutthaya District.
They arrived at the scene to find the damaged tour boat and an overturned long tail boat in the river near the bridge.
At least seven people had sustained injuries from the collision. They were taken to a local hospital.
One is still reported missing which is a friend of the long tail boat captain Mr. Chaiyan Ngerntab, 35. Rescue divers have been searching for him in the river.
It has been reported that two of those in the boats are Malaysian Nationals.
Mr. Saard Sasuk, 35, the long tail boat captain, said he has avoided a collision with a bridge pillar but crashed into the tour boat instead.
