Thailand found 125 domestic infections out of a total of 142 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA spokesperson Taweesilp Visanuyuthin announced at a press conference this morning, January 21st.
About 88 infected patients were discovered in total with the breakdown as follows: Samut Sakhon 63, Bangkok 14, Ang Thong 4, Nonthaburi 2, Chiang Rai 1, Pathum Thani 1, Rayong 1, Chonburi 1, and Chanthaburi 1.
The other 37 cases of domestic infections are both Thai and migrant workers found in Samut Sakhon with 29, Pathum Thani 3, Chanthaburi 3, and Bangkok 2 during active case finding by provincial public health authorities. Most of them are asymptomatic and are now at state quarantine with no exposure to the general population.
A total of 221 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now had a total of 12,795 cases with 9,842 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
