Phuket –

A large 20 kilogram python was caught near a hotel in the Mueang Phuket district.

Kusoldharm Rescue workers were notified of the python at night late last week near a hotel in Karon.

They arrived at the scene to find a four meter long python. It was hiding behind the main hotel building. It took only ten minutes to safely catch the python.

Vincent Modell, a British Kusoldharm volunteer rescue worker based in Patong told associated Thai press, “This is a beautiful snake, the orange colors of his eyes are stunning.”

“Although they are non-venomous, I would not attempt to remove a snake of this size alone. One wrong move and I would be in life threatening trouble.” Vincent stated.

“The snake bites it’s pray with its rows of inverted teeth. Then wraps it’s body around the prey slowly suffocating them.” Vincent explained.

“The python will be released back into a national park as soon as possible.” Vincent concluded.
