Thailand reported 81 domestic infections out of a total of 90 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced this morning, March 21st.
The majority of 45 cases were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were found in Bangkok with 16, Samut Sakhon with 15, Phetchaburi with 6, Pathum Thani with 4, Nakhon Pathom with 1, Ratchaburi with 1, and Samut Prakan with 1.
The other 36 cases were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant worker’s dormitories in Samut Sakhon with 26, Pathum Thani with 9, and Samut Prakan with 1. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment.
As of today, 86 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 27,803 cases with 26,598 recoveries and a total of 89 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
