Thailand discovered 128 domestic infections among a total of 134 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA assistant spokesperson Panprapa Yongtrakul announced at a daily press briefing this morning, March 26th.
The majority of 87 domestic infections were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, migrant worker’s dormitories, and immigration detention in Bangkok with 82, Samut Sakhon with 2, Samut Songkram with 2, and Pathum Thani with 1. Most of them are asymptomatic. All of them are being isolated in quarantined areas under the supervision of public health officials with no public exposure.
The other 41 local cases were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were confirmed in Bangkok with 16, Samut Sakhon with 15, Tak with 5, and Samut Prakan with 5.
As of today, 86 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 28,577 cases with 27,032 recoveries and a total of 92 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
