Thailand reported 10,554 domestic cases of Covid-19 with 67 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 9 imported cases, marking a total of 10,630 daily infections, with 73 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.
This makes a total of 1,671,204 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April in Thailand.
Additionally, 1,544,906 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 10,542 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows the total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year.
Among 10,554 local new domestic cases, excluding the cases in the prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 1,280, Yala with 650, Samut Prakan with 519, Songkhla with 504 and Chonburi with 488.
The fatalities were 44 men and 29 women (72 Thai) and one Danish. Twelve of them reportedly have chronic health problems. Seven of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.
Thailand has a total of 59,308,772 vaccines given, with 480,064 first jabs,489,043 -second doses, and 43,965 third doses were given yesterday.
