Thailand discovered a total of 14,822 daily Covid-19 infections with 20 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported today, February 10th.
The fatalities were 11 men and 9 women with the highest number reported in Chiang Mai with 3. 19 of them were Thai nationals and one was unidentified. The age range was between 44 and 94 years old.
Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including hypertension (9), diabetes (3), hyperlipidemia (4), obesity (1), and kidney disease (7). One was the fatalities was a bedridden patient.
Of the new cases, 14,320 were found in hospitals and medical services (which includes contact tracing cases), 204 were from a proactive approach at previously reported clusters, 52 were from prisons, and the remaining 246 were imported cases.
A number of 105,129 patients are still under treatment/isolation/medical care. Of that, 563 patients are in critical condition including 114 on ventilators. This is roughly 0.53 percent of cases that are critical while 20.2 percent of that is critical enough for a ventilator.
Regarding the non-prison local infections, the highest number of patients were reported in Bangkok with 2,635, followed by Samut Prakan with 986, Chonburi with 754, Nonthaburi with 504, Phuket with 434, and Ratchaburi with 379.
A total number of 507,602 people nationwide have received Covid-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours. Of that, 43,888 people had received their first shots, 48,738 people had received their second shots, and 414,976 people had received their third shots. This is roughly 75.6% of the total Thai population who have had their first shot of a Covid-19 vaccine, 70.5% who have had a second shot and are fully vaccinated, and 24.2% have had a third booster shot.
As of today, 8,503 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 2,545,873 cases with 2,418,380 recoveries and a total of 22,364 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
