RECAP: Thailand announces 116 domestic cases among 126 new Covid – 19 cases in past 24 hours

Thailand –

The CCSA reported 116 domestic cases of Covid-19 among a total of 126 new Covid-19 cases with 0 deaths reported in the past 24 hours, making a total of 24,405 infections and 80 deaths in Thailand since the start of the outbreak of Covid-19.

79 out of 126 cases are from proactive case finding, 37 were from contact tracing or hospital cases and 10 are imported cases from abroad.

53 out of the 116 domestic infections were found in Samut Sakhon with an additional 52 in Tak, 7 in Bangkok, two in Petchburi, one in Pathum Thani and one in Samut Songkram.

The majority of the cases in Tak are in the Mae Sot sub-district which has been designated a highly controlled zone.

As of today, 970 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers.

Thailand has now reached a total of 24,405 cases with 21,180 recoveries and a total of 80 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
